Titanium plate manufacturing process
First of all, material preparation is the first step in titanium plate production. Select high-purity titanium raw materials and perform pretreatment, including cleaning, crushing, etc. This ensures the purity and uniformity of the material.
Then, smelting involves melting titanium raw materials at high temperatures to convert them into liquid titanium. During the smelting process, appropriate parameters such as temperature, pressure, and atmosphere need to be controlled to ensure the quality of the titanium liquid.
Next, the titanium liquid is poured into the prepared casting mold for casting. Molds can be specially shaped or cast directly into blocks. During the casting process, parameters such as mold temperature and pouring speed need to be controlled to obtain a uniform, dense and defect-free ingot when the titanium liquid solidifies.
Finally, the ingot is rolled and pressed into thinner titanium plates. Rolling is achieved through multiple passes of extrusion and stretching, and parameters such as rolling temperature and rolling speed can be controlled to change the thickness and hardness of the titanium plate.
In addition to the above main process steps, the production of titanium plates also requires subsequent heat treatment, acid leaching, surface treatment and cutting, as well as product quality inspection.
