With the development of technology, there are more and more cutting methods, for example, laser cutting, water cutting, plasma cutting, wire cutting. What is the difference between them?

Waterjet cutting is categorized into two ways: abrasive-free cutting and abrasive cutting.



Plasma cutting processing: plasma cutting is the use of high-temperature plasma arc heat to make the workpiece at the incision of the local melting (and evaporation) of the metal, and high-speed plasma momentum to exclude the molten metal in order to form the incision of a processing method.
Wire Cutting: EDM wire cutting, sometimes called wire cutting, can be categorized into fast-feeding wire cutting, medium-feeding wire cutting and slow-feeding wire cutting. Fast-wire EDM wire cutting wire speed of 6 to 12 m / s, the electrode wire for high-speed back and forth movement, cutting accuracy is poor. Comparison of application scope
Laser cutting has a wide range of applications, no matter metal, non-metal, can be cut. Cutting non-metal, such as fabric, leather, etc. can be used CO₂ laser cutting machine; cutting metal can be used fiber laser cutting machine.
Water cutting belongs to the cold cutting, no thermal deformation, good quality cutting surface and no secondary processing, such as the need for secondary processing is also very easy. Water cutting can punch and cut any material with fast cutting speed and flexible processing size.
Plasma cutting can be used for cutting various metal materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, cast iron and carbon steel, etc. Plasma cutting has obvious thermal effect, low precision, and the cutting surface is not easy to carry out secondary processing.
Wire cutting is only able to cut conductive material, cutting process requires cutting coolant, so like paper, leather and other non-conductive, afraid of water, afraid of cutting coolant pollution of the material can not be cut.
