Ilmenite production
According to the data published by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in 2015, the global ilmenite production in 2014 was 6.68 million tonnes, compared with 6.73 million tonnes last year, a small contraction of 5 tonnes. Among them, Australia and South Africa tied for the first place with the same output of 1.1 million tonnes; in the second place was China, with a 2014 output of 1 million tonnes.

Rutile production
According to the data released by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in 2015, the global rutile production in 2014 was 770,000 tonnes, compared with 667,000 tonnes last year, an increase of 103,000 tonnes, or 15% year-on-year. Among them, Australia ranked first in the world with 480,000 tonnes of production, accounting for 62% of the total.
