Laptop with titanium case

Apple Computer (APPLE) of the United States introduced a titanium laptop many years ago. Not only does the computer offer advanced performance, but its case is made of titanium. While there are many laptops that claim to have titanium casings, they are generally titanium plated, this Titanium Power Book G4 laptop uses grade 1 industrially pure titanium for its casing. This is the first computer in the world to use pure titanium for its casing. The overall thickness of the computer is 25.4mm and the weight is 2.4kg. titanium used for computer cases has a great influence in the titanium industry and the computer industry. The color of the delivered titanium case is grey, and through oxidation coloring, the titanium case can be changed to red, purple and yellow.

Apple introduced this titanium shell computer can challenge Japan's Sony Corporation using magnesium alloy shell computer, not only has a beautiful appearance, but also has excellent performance. Titanium compared to magnesium, high tensile strength (titanium 106.3GPa, magnesium 44.4GPa), low thermal conductivity, titanium 17W/m.K, only one-tenth of magnesium (159W/m.K), so the titanium shell in the realization of thin-walled at the same time to maintain the strength to inhibit the diffusion of heat from the hardware and so on, to prevent the bottom surface of the heat.
IBM's Think Pad A-series (e.g., A20p) and T-series (e.g., T20) laptop cases use titanium matrix composites, which not only improves the strength and shock resistance of the case, but also allows the computer to be thinner and lighter. Hewlett-Packard X16-1201TX and X16-1301TX series notebook computers also use titanium alloy shell.
In addition, Japan's Fujitsu used pure titanium to manufacture a small A5 size, 890g lightweight laptop; the company also used titanium alloy in the shell of the INTERTOP CX300 laptop.
