Types and Distribution of Titanium DepositsThere are more than thirty countries in the world that have titanium resources. However, titanium is mainly distributed in Australia, South Africa, Canada, China and India. Canada, China and India are mainly rock ores; Australia and the United States are mainly sand ores; South Africa is rich in both rock ores and sand ores.



Foreign production of ilmenite sand ore mining areas are mainly seven: Australia's east and west coast, Richards Bay, South Africa, the United States south and east coast, the Indian Peninsula, southern Kerala, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Brazil's southeastern coast.
There are three main foreign rutile sand mining areas: the east and west coasts of Australia, the south-west coast of Sierra Leone, and Richards Bay in South Africa. Small quantities are also produced in Sri Lanka, India, Brazil and the United States.
