Distribution of molybdenum mines in China

China is rich in molybdenum ore resources, with total retained reserves of 8.4 million tons of molybdenum, ranking 2nd in the world. There are 222 mining areas with proven reserves, distributed in 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities). Henan Province is the richest molybdenum resources, molybdenum reserves accounted for 30.1% of the country's total reserves, Shaanxi, Jilin, followed by the above three provinces, molybdenum reserves accounted for more than 56.5% of the country.

First, molybdenum ore large deposits. Such as Shaanxi Jinduicheng, Henan Luanchuan, Liaoning Yangjiazhaizi, Jilin big black mountain molybdenum mine are world-class scale of the big mines. Representative mines are:

(1) the molybdenum industry capital
Molybdenum mine in Huaxian, Weinan, Shaanxi was discovered in 1955, realized large-scale mining in 1965, and started large-scale development in 1983. Over the years, Huaxian County, relying on the advantages of rich molybdenum resources, has taken the development and processing of molybdenum resources as the pillar industry of the county, and adopted a series of industrial support policies and preferential policies for attracting investment to strongly promote the development of the molybdenum industry. 2005, Huaxian County molybdenum industry completed an output value of 7.1 billion yuan, realized a sales income of 7.8 billion yuan, and realized a profit of 4.5 billion yuan in tax, with molybdenum industry output value accounting for 80% of the county's industrial output value, and contributing more than 60% to the county's GDP. More than 85% of the molybdenum products in Huaxian County are exported, with annual export earnings of 850 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 1/5 of Shaanxi's export earnings, and accounting for 8%-10% of the world molybdenum metallurgical furnace charge market, and the products are spreading all over the world, such as Europe, the U.S.A., Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Australia, and India. At present, Huaxian has Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group Co., Ltd, Taoyuan Molybdenum Mining, Wenjin Liyu Molybdenum Mining, Zongheng Mining Company, Liuzhi Molybdenum Mining, and other 5 major molybdenum industrial enterprises and more than 10 molybdenum processing enterprises. The development and growth of the molybdenum industry has led to the development of related industries in Huaxian County, and the number of people engaged in molybdenum production and related services in the county has reached 45,000 at present.

2)Jinzhai Molybdenum Mine
After several generations of geologists' painstaking exploration and unremitting pursuit, Anhui Province's first "world-class" metal deposits, and finally in Jinzhai County, Shaping Gully unveiled the mystery. 21 July, the provincial mineral resources reserves assessment center held a review meeting to announce that, after a detailed investigation of the comprehensive evaluation, Shaping Gully giant "porphyry-type" molybdenum mine proved to be the first in the province. "molybdenum mine proven molybdenum metal amount of more than 2.2 million tons, reserves in Asia, the world's second, the potential economic value of more than 600 billion yuan. Shapinggou molybdenum mine is located in Guanmiao Township, Jinzhai County, 50 kilometers away from Jinzhai County (Meishan). After census, detailed investigation, the deposit has controlled the ore body east-west length of 1,000 meters, north-south width of 900 meters, the maximum thickness of a single hole to see the ore 945 meters. The ore body is in the shape of a big apple, concentrated and easy to mine. The entire deposit is estimated to have a total ore volume of 1.275 billion tons, and ultimately more than 2.2 million tons of molybdenum metal can be submitted, with an average grade of 0.157%. The average grade of the deposit is 0.157%. The results of the ore dressing experiment show that the grade of molybdenum concentrate is 49.80%, and the recovery rate is as high as 90%, which is a very high quality ore deposit.
