State Key Advanced Aerospace Titanium Base Alloys

Recently, the national key research project "aircraft genetic engineering key technologies and materials support platform" focusing on advanced titanium alloy design and manufacturing integrated computing "project kick-off meeting was held in the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Metals. Xinyi Fengtao, Development and Promotion Center of MIIT, Zeng Xiaoqin, professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhang Guoqing, expert in charge of the project, researcher of Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials of China Aviation Development, Duan Wenhui, professor of Tsinghua University, Zhang Zhefeng, deputy director of Yang project leader of Institute of Metals, Xu Dongsheng, researcher of Central South University, and more than 30 staff members of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tsinghua University, Northeastern University, Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai) and other units involved in the project department. The meeting was attended by more than 30 staff members of the participating project departments.

The National Key Development Program "Key Development of Advanced Titanium Alloy Aerospace Design and Manufacturing Integrated Calculation" proposes simulation methods, microstructure and macro development of atoms in different spatial and temporal scales, and builds a platform for titanium alloy aerospace design calculation and optimization. And on this basis, carry out high throughput multi-scale simulation research on titanium alloy design and process optimization, combined with experimental research, to accelerate the realization of some typical applications and demonstrations of aerospace components.

Xu Dongsheng, the project leader of the meeting, reported on the project implementation overview, plans, assessment indicators and management measures, and the project leader also made a detailed report on the research content, research plan, objectives, evaluation indicators and milestone plan. After listening to the report, the experts of the project team put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on the project tasks, technical routes and implementation programs. Zeng Xiaoqin, the responsible expert of the project, pointed out in his concluding remarks that he would proceed to further clarify the task objectives, reflecting the consensus to overcome the difficulties, and hoped that the research objectives of the project would be further condensed under the guidance of the experts to optimize the implementation of the project. The breakthrough will help to realize the overall goal of paying special attention to the genetic engineering of materials.

Yang Rui, director of the Institute of Metals, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said at the beginning of the meeting that metal will make every effort to promote the organization and implementation of the project to ensure the completion of the task objectives. Yi Fengtao, leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), introduced the main tasks, management responsibilities, and specific work of MIIT to promote the development of the center in the context of the reform of national science and technology programs. He pointed out that during the implementation of the project, all units committed to strengthen cooperation, systematically analyze the technical routes and implementation plans according to the task objectives and assessment indicators, and establish a milestone management mode, and also emphasized that the contractors should conscientiously implement the liability system of the legal person, and provide safeguard conditions, so as to lay the foundation for the realization of the project objectives.
