Tungsten resource reserves distribution
Feb 01, 2024
The world's tungsten resources reserves are relatively rich, the content of tungsten in the earth's crust is 0.001%, and more than 20 types of tungsten minerals and tungsten-containing minerals have been discovered, i.e., wolframite group: wolframanganese, wolframite, scheelite; scheelite group: scheelite (chalcocite), molybdenum scheelite, copper scheelite; tungsten waffle minerals: tungsten waffles, wolframite, tungsten water, tungsten high tungsten, tungsten yttrium, tungsten copper, tungsten water, tungsten alumina; uncommon tungsten minerals: wolframite lead, tungsten oblique lead, molybdenum tungsten lead, tungsten zinc, tungsten bismuthite, titanium yttrium thorium ore (containing tungsten) , plagioclase tungsten lead ore, molybdenum tungsten lead ore, tungsten zinc ore, tungsten bismuth ore, antimony tungsten pyrochlore, titanium yttrium thorium ore (containing tungsten), tungsten sulphide ore and so on. Although more than 20 kinds of tungsten minerals and tungsten-containing minerals have been discovered, only wolframite and scheelite have economic value for mining, with wolframite accounting for about 30% of the total global tungsten resources, and scheelite accounting for about 70%.
