I. Overview.
The TC11 titanium alloy, with a nominal composition of Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si, is an α-β type titanium alloy heat-resistant titanium alloy with an aluminum equivalent of 3.5 and a molybdenum equivalent of 7.3.The alloy also has good hot workability (including conventional machinability and superplasticity), and it can be welded and machined in a variety of ways. Beta heat treatment and isothermal forging of the alloy have been rapidly developed.
The alloy is also sensitive to hot salt stress corrosion.
The alloy is mainly used in the manufacture of aero-engine compressor disks, blades, drums and other parts, and can also be used in the manufacture of aircraft structural components. The alloy is heat-treated by thermal deformation and α-β zone heat treatment up to a maximum long-term working temperature of 500°C. The alloy is also used in the manufacture of aircraft structural parts. Semi-finished products produced include bars, forgings and drop-forged parts.

TC11 titanium alloy is a widely used high temperature titanium alloy in China. The maximum working temperature is 500 ℃, mainly used for aero-engine compressor blades, disks, drums, shafts and other components. Can also be made into shaped castings. The working conditions of the parts can be used under annealed condition for 500 hours at 500℃, 100 hours at 550℃ and 1000 hours at 450℃. Parts can be used for 100 hours at 500°C in the intensively treated condition. Components that can be operated under 700°C at one time.
Similar brands include BT9 (Russia).
