CNC aluminum mechanical keyboard keys are keycaps machined from solid aluminum alloy rather than molded plastic. Machining and Geometry
3.1 Five-axis precision milling
Each keycap is milled on five-axis CNC machines. Multiple passes control inner wall thickness uniformly across the cap, and the cross-shaped stem is machined to a precision of 0.02 mm so that it seats firmly on the switch without wobble.
3.2 Cross-stem and chamfer design
The cross-shaped opening follows mainstream switch standards (Cherry MX and Gateron compatible). A chamfered entry allows smooth installation and avoids damage to the switch stem.
3.3 Reinforced ribs
Reinforcement ribs on the underside add structural strength while keeping the cap light, preventing deformation even under forceful keystrokes.
3.4 Noise dampening
Optional removable silicone cushion pads absorb bottom-out impact. In controlled lab measurement this reduces typing noise by roughly 30% versus a bare aluminum cap; the pads can be removed by the end user at any time.
Surface Finish and Hardness
