Production Process of Titanium Foil
Titanium plate cutting: First, cut the large titanium plate into appropriate sizes. This can be achieved using methods such as cutting machines, titanium saw blades, or laser cutting.
Hot rolling of titanium plate: The cut titanium plate is heated to a temperature higher than its recrystallization temperature, and then hot rolled through a roller press. The hot rolling process makes the titanium plate thinner and helps improve the grain structure and mechanical properties of the titanium plate.
Cold rolling of titanium plates: The hot-rolled titanium plates are further processed by cold rolling. Cold rolling refers to rolling the titanium plate through a roller press at room temperature to further reduce the thickness of the titanium plate. The cold rolling process not only improves the surface finish and dimensional accuracy of the titanium plate but also further improves its mechanical properties.
Titanium foil annealing: The cold-rolled titanium plate needs to be annealed. Annealing is the process of heating titanium plates to the appropriate temperature and then slowly cooling them. This process is designed to eliminate residual stress in the titanium plate and improve its plasticity, toughness, and strength.
