Due to the high palladium content, Titanium Grade 7 is very resistant to corrosion. Thus, for example, titanium grade 7 is resistant to salt water and is suitable for handling chlorides media. In addition, Titanium Grade 7 is resistant to erosion or impacts.

Description

Grade 7 titanium alloy strips are manufactured from Ti-0.15Pd alloy, a commercially pure titanium alloy with added palladium (0.12-0.25%), giving them excellent corrosion resistance in reducing acid and chloride environments. This palladium-stabilized alloy significantly improves their resistance to crevice corrosion and erosion, where standard titanium alloys may face performance bottlenecks in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid. Our Grade 7 titanium alloy strips are available in thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm and various widths, combining the excellent formability and weldability of pure titanium with enhanced corrosion resistance approaching that of higher alloys. These strips fully comply with ASTM B265 and ASME SB265 standards.
