Titanium Foil Strips Grade 5

Grade 5 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy, also known as Ti-6Al-4V. It consists of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, and 90% titanium, and has extremely high mechanical properties.

Description

Our Grade 5 titanium foil strips are made from the most widely used titanium alloy, Ti-6Al-4V, offering high strength, lightweight, and excellent corrosion resistance in ultra-thin sections. This α-β alloy ranges in thickness from 0.025 mm to 0.5 mm and is available in various widths. It boasts approximately twice the strength of commercially available pure titanium while maintaining good formability and fatigue resistance. Our Grade 5 titanium foil strips fully comply with ASTM B265 and AMS 4911 standards and can be precision-cut to customer requirements. Special packaging protects surface integrity, making them a common choice for aerospace components, medical devices, chemical equipment, and high-performance industrial applications.

Grade 5 Titanium Alloy Applications
Heat Transfer
The main industrial application of titanium is heat transfer applications where the cooling medium is seawater, brackish water or contaminated water. Titanium condensers, shell and tube heat exchangers and plate heat exchangers are widely used in power plants, refineries, air conditioning systems, chemical plants, offshore platforms, surface ships and submarines. Welded titanium tubes are well used in power plant condensers.
Desalination
Its excellent corrosion and erosion resistance and high condensing efficiency make titanium cost-effective and a reliable material for use in critical parts of desalination plants. The increased use of thin-walled welded tubing has made titanium as competitive as copper-nickel.
