Titanium alloy is an alloy composed of other elements such as aluminum, nickel, chromium, copper, etc. based on titanium, in order to obtain higher strength, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Titanium alloy has a wide range of applications, mainly used to make aircraft engine compressor parts, followed by structural parts of rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft. In addition, titanium alloys are also widely used in the automotive industry, military equipment, medical care, chemical industry, sporting goods, household goods and many other fields.

TA8/TA9 Titanium-palladium alloy is an alloy consisting of titanium added to palladium. Titanium-palladium is mainly used in dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid and dilute phosphoric acid environments, and it is also widely used in titanium equipments to prevent crevice corrosion, such as as being used as parts of tube heat exchangers and textile's spinnerets.

TA8/TA9 titanium rods implementation standards are as follows :

National standard: GB/T2965-2007, GB/T13810, Q/BS5331-91.

American Standard: ASTM B348, ASTM F136, ASTM F67, AMS4928
Heat treatment process of TA8/TA9 titanium rods and titanium alloy rods:

1, solid solution treatment and aging: the purpose is to improve its strength, α titanium alloy and stable β titanium alloy can not be strengthened heat treatment, in the production of only annealing. α + β titanium alloy and contain a small amount of α phase of sub-stable β titanium alloy can be solid solution treatment and aging to make the alloy further strengthened.

2, stress relief annealing: the purpose is to eliminate or reduce the residual stress generated during processing. Prevent chemical attack and reduce deformation in some corrosive environments.

3, complete annealing: the purpose is to obtain good toughness, improve machinability, conducive to re-machining as well as improve the stability of the size and organization.
