Geographic Distribution Of Titanium

Jan 22, 2024

China's total titanium resources of 965 million tons, ranking first in the world, accounting for 38.85% of the world's proven reserves, mainly concentrated in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan and other places, of which Panshi (Panzhihua Xichang) region is China's largest titanium resource base, titanium resources of 8.7 billion tons.

China's proven titanium resources are distributed in 21 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) a total of 108 mining areas (Figure 3.5.1 and Table 3.5.4). The main producing area is Sichuan, followed by Hebei, Hainan, Guangdong, Hubei, Guangxi, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Shanxi and other provinces (autonomous regions).
