Neutral Elements And A+ β Titanium Alloys

Mar 11, 2024

Neutral elements and a + β Titanium alloys have little effect on the transition temperature of homogeneous heterogeneous crystals, the neutral elements are mainly zirconium and tin, zirconium in the a-phase and β-phase are infinitely solid-soluble, while tin in the β-phase with a maximum solid solubility of 32%. They contribute to solidification and delay certain deleterious transformations in titanium alloys, such as the formation of the @ phase.

a + β titanium alloy is a two-phase alloy, has good comprehensive performance, good organizational stability, good toughness, plasticity and high temperature deformation properties, can be better hot pressure processing, can be quenched, aging to make the alloy strengthened. The strength after heat treatment is about 50%~100% higher than the annealed state; high-temperature strength, can work for a long time at a temperature of 400~500 ℃, and its thermal stability is second to a titanium alloy.
