Description
Grade 7 titanium alloy tubing (titanium-palladium alloy) has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing media. It also exhibits considerable corrosion resistance in reducing media and is particularly well suited for improved crevice corrosion resistance in media with high chloride ion concentrations.Grade 7 titanium metal tubing contains 0.2% palladium. In 5% boiling sulfuric acid, the use of Grade 7 titanium-palladium alloy reduces the corrosion rate from 48.26 mm/a (industrially pure titanium) to 0.508 mm/a, an increase in corrosion resistance of about 95 times.
