Description
Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy tubing exhibits extremely high corrosion resistance in marine environments, acidic and alkaline solutions. In seawater, the presence of chloride ions usually accelerates the corrosion of most metals, whereas Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy is able to block the chloride ions from entering the metal matrix through the oxidized film, showing strong corrosion resistance. Studies have shown that in corrosive solutions containing sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and phosphoric acid, the corrosion rate of this titanium alloy is relatively low and even better than that of traditional corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel.
