Performance characteristics of AMS 4909 5Al-2.5Sn ELI Titanium
- Mechanical properties: It has high strength, and its mechanical properties such as tensile strength and yield strength perform well. Its tensile strength is usually above 700MPa, and its yield strength can reach about 720MPa, which can withstand large loads.
- High temperature performance: It can work stably for a long time in a high temperature environment of 480℃, and has good high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. At high temperatures, its microstructure can remain relatively stable and is not prone to obvious softening or deformation
- Low temperature performance: The alloy also exhibits excellent performance in low temperature environments. In low temperature application scenarios such as liquid hydrogen fuel rocket engines, liquid hydrogen storage tanks, pipelines and pump impellers, Ti-5Al-2.5Sn ELI titanium alloy can maintain good strength and toughness and is an ideal low temperature structural material.
- Corrosion resistance: Ti-5Al-2.5Sn ELI titanium alloy has good corrosion resistance in various corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts, and can be used for a long time in harsh chemical environments, so it is often used in chemical equipment and other fields.
- Processing performance: It has good processing performance and can be made into products of various shapes through forging, rolling, extrusion and other processing methods.
