Description
Machining complex precision CNC aluminum parts requires a comprehensive consideration of material properties, structural characteristics, and process control. These parts are typically made of aviation aluminum (such as 7075-T6) or high-silicon aluminum alloys (such as AlSi12), and feature thin walls, deep cavities, and special-shaped holes. Dimensional tolerances must be within ±0.02mm, and critical mating surfaces must meet a roughness of Ra0.4 or below. Machining requires a five-axis strategy, utilizing axial tool deflection to avoid interference, while high-pressure air mist cooling is used to suppress thermal deformation.

High-speed CNC machining of metal parts
For process control, a phased machining strategy is implemented: rough machining begins with a 0.3mm allowance, followed by aging treatment to relieve stress. Semi-finishing utilizes variable-parameter cutting, with differentiated cutting parameters applied to areas with varying rigidity. Final machining utilizes nano-coated tools with a diameter of ≤3mm, combined with minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) technology. Clamping utilizes a combined vacuum fixture and 3D-printed contoured supports to ensure deformation of thin-walled areas is less than 5μm. Inspection utilizes a coordinate measuring machine and white light interferometer for full-scale digital inspection of complex curved surfaces.
