Product Shapes: round bar, square bar, hex bar, rectangular bar
Application Fields:
Aircraft turbine
Engine parts
Aircraft structural parts
Aerospace fasteners
Automated high-performance parts
Marine vessel applications
Sports equipment
Grade 1 Titanium bar is an unalloyed, low strength titanium product containing low oxygen with high formability; this titanium grade is used in airframes, heat exchangers, and desalination units.

Gr1 Pure Titanium Bar Main Features:
Grade 1 Pure Titanium Bar has slightly higher strength and hardness. Its mechanical and chemical properties are similar to stainless steel. Compared with titanium alloy, it has better strength and better oxidation resistance than austenitic stainless steel, but its heat resistance is poor. The impurity content of Gr1, Gr2 and Gr3 increases in sequence, the mechanical strength and hardness increase in sequence, but the plastic toughness decreases in sequence.

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between ASTM B348 Titanium Grade 1 bar and ASTM B348 Titanium Grade 2 bar?
A: ASTM B348 Grade 1 bar has lower tensile strength (240 MPa) and higher ductility (24% elongation). ASTM B348 Grade 2 bar has higher tensile strength (345 MPa) with 20% elongation. Grade 1 is easier to form and bend; Grade 2 offers higher strength for load-bearing applications.
Q2: What are the equivalent grades for UNS R50250 titanium bar?
A: UNS R50250 is equivalent to DIN 3.7025, ASTM B348 Grade 1, ASME SB348, and ASTM F67. All refer to commercially pure titanium with maximum 0.18% oxygen.
Q3: What is the difference between Titanium Grade 1 bar (3.7025) and Titanium Grade 5 bar (Ti-6Al-4V)?
A: Grade 1 is commercially pure with 240 MPa tensile strength and excellent formability. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is an alpha-beta alloy with 900-1000 MPa tensile strength but lower ductility. Grade 5 is used for high-strength aerospace and medical structural applications; Grade 1 is used for forming and corrosion resistance.
Q4: What fabrication methods are suitable for ASTM B348 Titanium Grade 1 round bar?
A: Grade 1 bar is ideal for cold forming, bending, machining, and welding. It has low springback compared to stainless steel. For welding, strict argon shielding is required to prevent oxygen contamination.
Q5: Can ASTM F67 Titanium Grade 1 bar be used for medical implants?
A: Yes, ASTM F67 specifically covers unalloyed titanium for surgical implant applications. Grade 1 bar is biocompatible and used for orthopedic fixation devices, bone plates, and surgical instruments where high formability is required.
Q6: What is the maximum operating temperature for ASTM B348 Grade 1 titanium bar?
A: Grade 1 bar provides creep resistance up to 300°C and can be used in applications up to 400°C for short periods. Above 400°C, oxidation accelerates and mechanical properties may degrade.
Q7: What is the difference in oxygen content between Titanium Grade 1 (3.7025) and Titanium Grade 2 (3.7035) bar?
A: Grade 1 has maximum 0.18% oxygen. Grade 2 has maximum 0.25% oxygen. Higher oxygen in Grade 2 contributes to higher strength but slightly lower ductility.
Q8: What surface finishes are available for UNS R50250 titanium bar from GNEE?
A: Available finishes include pickled (acid-cleaned), polished (smooth reflective), turned (machined), and ground (precision diameter). Custom surface treatments such as anodizing can also be applied.
Q9: Does GNEE provide ASME SB348 Titanium Grade 1 bar with mill test certificates?
A: Yes, GNEE supplies Titanium Grade 1 bar per ASME SB348 (the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code version). Each shipment includes EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill test certificates traceable to the original heat number.
Q10: Is Titanium Grade 1 (R50250) bar suitable for seawater applications?
A: Yes, Grade 1 bar offers excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, including resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It is widely used in marine vessel applications, desalination units, and offshore platform components.
Precision Through Advanced Testing

Precision Through Advanced Testing
We don't just produce GR1 titanium plates - we verify every batch. Our in-house testing laboratory is equipped with critical instruments including a Spectro spectrometer for chemical analysis, tensile and creep endurance testing machines for mechanical properties, X-ray and fluorescent penetrant inspection for internal and surface defects, and coordinate measuring machines for dimensional accuracy. This ensures every GR1 titanium plate meets ASTM B338 and your specifications - with full traceability and reliability.
Our factory
Our factory is equipped with core processing machinery for titanium products. For melting and forming, we use vacuum arc remelting (VAR) furnaces and a 2,500-ton hydraulic press. The billet processing line includes a high-temperature rolling mill and a radial forging machine capable of producing bars and rods from 8mm to 300mm in diameter. For seamless titanium tubes, we operate three-roll piercing mills and cold pilger rolling mills (LG-60, LG-90). Titanium plates and strips are produced on a four-high cold rolling mill with an online annealing furnace. For wires, we have a continuous wire drawing line with in-line degreasing and spooling units. All key equipment is CNC-controlled, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy and surface finish for tubes, plates, bars, wires, and strips.
