Composition

The chemical composition of Titanium Grade 9 is as follows:

Titanium (Ti): Approximately 90%

Aluminum (Al): 3%

Vanadium (V): 2.5%

Strength:

Titanium Grade 9 is significantly stronger than commercially pure titanium grades like Grade 2 but not as strong as Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V).

It has a tensile strength of around 620 MPa (90 ksi), providing a good balance between strength and weight.

 

Corrosion Resistance:
