TC4 /Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Alloy Sheet Titanium Block

Mar 12, 2024

TC4 titanium alloy is composed of Ti-6Al-4V, containing 6% α-stabilizing element AI and 4% β-stabilizing element V, which belongs to (a+b) type two-phase titanium alloy, and it is the most widely used and most productive a+β type alloy at present. TC4 titanium alloy with a long time working temperature of up to 400℃ is widely used in the manufacture of fan and compressor disks and blades of engines and important load-bearing components such as beams, joints and bulkheads of aircraft structures. Important load-bearing components such as beams, joints and spacer frames in aircraft structures.

TC4 titanium alloy main products are bars, plates, tubes and machined parts, can be used to do 450 ℃ below the use of jet engines and turbine blades and turbine discs. TC4 titanium alloy has good welding performance, can be heat-treated to strengthen the general delivery of the use of the annealed condition.

TC4 titanium alloy strength :sb=1.012MPa.

Density of TC4 titanium alloy: g=4.4*103.

Specific strength of TC4 titanium alloy: sb/g=23.5, while the specific strength of alloy steel sb/g is less than 18.

Modulus of elasticity of TC4 titanium alloy: E=110GPa, about 1/2 of steel, so titanium alloy is easy to produce deformation when processing.

TC4 titanium alloy chemical composition: TC4 containing titanium (Ti) balance, iron (Fe) ≤ 0.30, carbon (C) ≤ 0.10, nitrogen (N) ≤ 0.05, hydrogen (H) ≤ 0.015, oxygen (O) ≤ 0.20, aluminum (Al) 5.5 ~ 6.8, vanadium (V) 3.5 ~ 4.5.

TC4 titanium alloy mechanical properties: tensile strength σb/MPa ≥ 895, specified residual elongation stress σr0.2/MPa ≥ 825, elongation δ5 (%) ≥ 10, section shrinkage ψ (%) ≥ 25.

Titanium alloy thermal conductivity is low. The thermal conductivity of titanium alloy is 1/5 of that of iron and 1/10 of that of aluminum, and the thermal conductivity of TC4 is l=7.955W/m-K. The coefficient of linear expansion is 7.89*10-6℃, and the specific heat is 0.612cal/g-°C. The modulus of elasticity of titanium alloy is lower than that of titanium alloy, and the elasticity of titanium alloy is higher than that of aluminum alloy. The modulus of elasticity of titanium alloy is low.

TC4 titanium alloy has good process plasticity and superplasticity, suitable for a variety of pressure processing molding, but also can be used in a variety of ways for welding and machining.
