During the production process of titanium alloy castings, details need to be carefully addressed in various stages such as melting, molding, pouring, and heat treatment. Below is a detailed introduction:

Raw Material Selection:
Ensure the use of high-purity titanium alloy raw materials and strictly control impurity content, as impurities may adversely affect the performance of the titanium alloy. At the same time, pay attention to batch consistency of raw materials to avoid performance instability caused by differences between batches.

Melting Process:
The melting of titanium alloy must be carried out under vacuum or inert gas protection to prevent titanium from reacting with oxygen, nitrogen, and other gases in the air at high temperatures, which could form brittle phases and reduce the alloy's performance. Additionally, precisely control the melting temperature and time to ensure uniform alloy composition and avoid over-melting or under-melting.

Mold Preparation:
Select suitable mold materials, such as ceramic molds or graphite molds. The mold should have good high-temperature resistance, permeability, and dimensional accuracy to ensure the molding quality of the castings. Cooling and Solidification:
Reasonably control the cooling speed of the casting. Titanium alloy castings are prone to significant internal stress during cooling, so appropriate measures must be taken to control it, such as using suitable cooling media and optimizing the structural design of the casting, to prevent deformation and cracks. At the same time, pay attention to the uniformity of cooling to avoid localized rapid or slow cooling, which could lead to uneven microstructure.

Heat Treatment:
Develop appropriate heat treatment processes based on the specific requirements of the titanium alloy castings, such as annealing, solution treatment, and aging treatment, to improve the mechanical properties of the castings (e.g., strength, hardness, toughness), refine the microstructure, and eliminate internal stress. During the heat treatment process, strictly control parameters such as heating rate, holding time, and cooling rate to ensure consistent heat treatment results.

Quality Inspection:
Conduct strict quality inspections during the production process, including visual inspection, dimensional accuracy measurement, internal defect detection (e.g., radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, penetrant testing), and mechanical performance testing. Identify and address non-conforming products in a timely manner, analyze the causes of defects, and take appropriate improvement measures to enhance product quality.

Environmental Protection and Safety:
During the production process of titanium alloy castings, harmful gases, dust, and waste slag are generated. Effective environmental protection measures must be taken to reduce pollution.
