How To Manufacture Titanium Straight Tubes?

Rutile is made by extracting rutile from a variety of concentrates, of which rutile is the most common. The concentrate is treated to remove excess iron, and raw materials and chlorine and carbon are added to the reactor. The second step is the removal of impurities, which can be achieved by vacuum distillation. Titanium sponge is obtained by removing titanium with chloride.
The titanium sponge is extruded and dissolved into titanium flakes. Titanium alloys are used to make a variety of products, including titanium tubing. Many industries, including the chemical industry, use titanium tubing for welding. Power plants, especially those operating in seawater, rely on titanium tubing. These tubes are also used in condensers due to their high corrosion resistance.
Manufacturers can apply additional tension on titanium plates and find that the joints in the weld pool are not strong enough. In addition, in order to ensure the stability of titanium products, it is necessary to rely on automatic sizing systems. Automatic monitoring systems can also be introduced for future welding conditions. Titanium is less plastic than a structural metal at room temperature.

This automatically reduces stretch forming and larger bending radii. Due to this property, hot forming is sometimes carried out, especially when stronger bending (or stretch forming) is required. Titanium has half the modulus of elasticity of steel, which means that the forming process produces a significant rebound (manufacturer's compensation).
Similarly, given titanium's tendency to wear (more so than steel), lubrication is an important part of the pipe forming process. In most cases, titanium requires no other treatment prior to the forming operation. Spindles can be used after receiving them, but they may not always be effective. Any marking (e.g. chisel) surface, is removed by different treatments (sandblasting, pickling, etc.).
In this episode, the volume of the measurements in the conceptual design is analyzed. In terms of the elongation of the metal, titanium tubes are formed at room temperature. Therefore, a tensile test is performed. The producer will eliminate the rebound by thermoforming the titanium tube. Titanium plasticity (including bending and tensile formability) increases with temperature. Therefore, titanium tubing is usually manufactured at high temperatures. As the temperature increases, the operation of forming titanium tubing becomes simpler.
