Effect Of Heat Treatment On Mechanical Properties Of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al Titanium Alloy

(1) Using the same aging regime of 520℃ × 8h, air cooling, the solid solution temperature of the alloy is between 760℃ and 770℃, with the increase of solid solution temperature, the tensile strength and yield strength of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy are obviously increased, the elongation and sectional shrinkage are decreased, and the microstructure of primary α phase is smaller and the content is decreased.
The tensile and yield strengths of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloys increased significantly, the elongation and section shrinkage decreased, and the primary α phase in the microstructure was small and decreased.

(2) Using the same solid solution regime of 765°C × 2h and water cooling, the tensile and yield strengths of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloys decreased significantly and the elongation and section shrinkage increased with the increase of aging temperature from 520°C to 525°C. The aging temperature of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloys in this temperature range was 520°C to 525°C. The tensile and yield strengths of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloys increased with the increase of aging temperature.

(3) In this temperature range, the effect of aging temperature on the properties of the alloy is greater than that of solid solution temperature.
