Tungsten Ore Processing

Tungsten Ore Processing At present, the development and utilization of tungsten ore in China is dominated by wolframite, followed by scheelite. Although the reserve of scheelite is more, there are fewer rich ores, lower grade, and more difficult to select ores, so the mining volume only accounts for about 10% of tungsten ore production. Although the reserve of wolframite is less than that of scheelite, the rich ore is more, and it is easy to mine and screen, so the total amount of mining accounts for more than 90% of tungsten ore production. There are mainly the following tungsten beneficiation methods:
Re-election: in a certain medium or medium flow (mainly water), according to the mineral density difference separation of the ore method. The advantage of this method is that the equipment structure is simple, easy to operate, and low production costs. Common re-election process has heavy media selection, jig selection, shaking table selection, chute selection, centrifugal selection.

Flotation: one of the most widely used methods of mineral processing, it is based on the different physical and chemical properties of the surface of the mineral particles, a method of separating useful minerals from the ore. Fine and fine-grained materials, with other beneficiation methods are difficult to recover less than 10μm of fine mineral particles are suitable for flotation methods. The United States Union Carbide Corporation developed a "lime method" flotation scheelite, shear flocculation flotation has also been used by some factories in scheelite flotation.
Magnetic Separation: It is the method of removing magnetic metal impurities in oil by using magnetic force. The application of magnetic separation is to utilize the magnetic difference of various ores or materials, and carry out the selection process under the action of magnetic force and other forces.
Amalgamation: a method of separating minerals according to their different densities. Sand samples placed in the water panning disk, repeated oscillation, stirring and panning, heavy minerals to stay in the bottom of the disk, light minerals with the water drift out, so that the light and heavy mineral separation.
The beneficiation of wolframite in China mainly adopts re-election, with a recovery rate of 92-93%, and flotation and magnetic separation are also used in some cases. The beneficiation of scheelite is based on the leaching characteristics of the ore, using a combination of re-election and flotation, or a single flotation method, or amalgamation method, and individually also pre-enrichment, the first use of ultraviolet light fluorescence picking machine from the original ore to select half of the waste rock, and then proceed to the beneficiation of scheelite, the recovery of scheelite up to 90-96%.
