Definition of Titanium & Titanium Alloy Bar & Billet Titanium & Titanium Alloy Bar: a hot rolled, forged, extruded or cold worked semifinished solid section product whose cross sectional area is equal to or less than 16 inch2 (10323 mm2); rectangular bar must be less than or equal to 10″ (254 mm) in width and greater than 0.1875″ (4.8 mm) in thickness.

Description

Titanium alloy containing a mixture of titanium and other chemical elements. Titanium alloys have very high tensile strength and toughness at extreme temperatures. They have excellent corrosion resistance and are typically lightweight. Titanium alloys have excellent preferences and offer an excellent strength-to-density ratio. It has low thermal expansion and provides excellent thermal stress in titanium structures. They offer optimum formability, weldability and high strength robustness. Titanium round bars and rods offer excellent durability, smooth surfaces, and provide many other favorable properties.
