Description
Lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) has an encapsulated M6 crystal structure. It has unique optical, piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties. Applications for lithium tantalate crystals include nonlinear optics, passive infrared (IR) sensors (e.g., motion detectors), terahertz (THz) generation and detection, surface acoustic waves (SAW), and more.
