AMS 4907 Titanium Strip
AMS 4907 Titanium refers to Ti-6Al-4V-ELI, which is a high purity version of Ti-6Al-4V (AMS 4907 Titanium Strip). ELI is the abbreviation of Extra Low interstial. The essential difference between Ti6Al4V ELI (grade 23) and Ti6Al4V (grade 5) is that the oxygen content is reduced to 0.13% (maximum) in grade 23. The reduced interstitial elements oxygen and iron improve plasticity and fracture toughness. It is the first choice in any situation where high strength, light weight, good corrosion resistance and high toughness are combined.
