Description
ASTM B265 This is a standard established by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) that specifies the dimensions, shape, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, test methods, and acceptance conditions for titanium and titanium alloy sheets and foils.
Gr5 (Ti-6Al-4V) material contains approximately 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, a composition designed to give the alloy excellent mechanical properties, particularly high strength and heat resistance.

Thin and homogeneous: Titanium foils are known for their extremely thin thickness and high degree of homogeneity, making them suitable for precision components and applications with stringent requirements on material thickness.
Good formability: Although titanium alloys are often complex to process, Gr5 titanium foils can exhibit good formability and ductility through proper annealing and controlled processing conditions.
Corrosion resistance: Like all titanium alloys, Gr5 titanium foils are highly resistant to a wide range of corrosive media, making them suitable for use in chemical processing, marine engineering and other fields.
Biocompatibility: Gr5 is also commonly used in medical implants. Although ASTM B265 is not primarily designed for biomedical applications, the inherent biocompatibility of the Gr5 material allows it to be used in specific medical devices.
