Description
Grade 7 titanium tubing has excellent machining, forming and welding properties. Because Grade 7 titanium round tubing is made from pure titanium with a small amount of the precious metal Pd, the alloy produces excellent corrosion resistance to acidic media. However, because of the precious metal palladium, Grade 7 titanium alloys are relatively expensive.

There is a corresponding titanium-palladium alloy made of TA9, known as Gr.7. The chemical composition of Gr.7 contains the following elements in the following proportions: titanium (Ti) occupies the main part, i.e., the residual amount; palladium (Pd) is present in the range of 0.12 to 0.25; nitrogen (N) does not contain more than 0.03; carbon (C) is present in a maximum amount of 0.08; hydrogen (H) is limited to 0.013 or less; iron (Fe) is present in the range of 0.013 or less; and carbon (H) is limited to 0.013 or less. 0.013 or less; iron (Fe) to no more than 0.25; and oxygen (O) to no more than 0.15.
