Grade 1 titanium is the first of four industrially pure titanium grades. It is the softest and most ductile of these grades. It has maximum formability, excellent corrosion resistance and high impact toughness. Grade TA1 is the material of choice for any application that requires easy formability and is typically available as titanium plate and titanium tubing.

Welding process characteristics
Welding method: Commonly used welding methods include tungsten inert gas shielded welding (TIG welding) and metal inert gas shielded welding (MIG welding). TIG welding has a stable arc and beautiful weld shape, which is suitable for welding thin plates and precision structures; MIG welding has high welding efficiency and is suitable for welding medium and thick plates.
Shielding gas: Since titanium is very easy to react with oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and other elements in the air at high temperatures, resulting in weld embrittlement and performance degradation, high-purity inert gas, such as argon, must be used for protection during welding.
Groove design: The groove forms of titanium tube welding are usually V-shaped, U-shaped, etc. The groove angle is generally between 60° and 90°, the blunt edge thickness is between 0.5mm and 1.5mm, and the gap is between 1mm and 3mm. Reasonable groove design helps to ensure the quality of the weld and the smooth progress of the welding process.
