Ti 6Al-4V, a titanium Gr5 alloy, is in the annealed condition and solid solution hardened and aged. The alloy is produced by - remelting using vacuum (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc furnace melting (PAM). Remelting is carried out by one or two vacuum arc steps.
