Description
Thin-walled titanium tubing is titanium alloy tubing with a relatively thin wall and is particularly suited to applications where weight is critical and strength and corrosion resistance are required.Ti-6Al-4V is approximately twice as strong as stainless steel but about half as dense, which allows thin-walled tubing to be structurally strong while offering a significant reduction in weight. Titanium and its alloys exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in most acids, alkalis and salt solutions, even in marine and industrial polluted environments, making them well suited for applications such as chemical processing equipment, seawater desalination and offshore oil platforms.
