Description
Manufacturing process for AMS 4928 titanium foil sheet
Heat treatment:
Solution treatment: Temperatures typically 900°C-1000°C, holding time depending on plate thickness, followed by rapid cooling (usually water or oil cooled).
Ageing treatment: temperatures usually 480°C-550°C, holding time generally 4-8 hours, followed by air or furnace cooling. These heat treatment steps improve the mechanical properties of the material.
Cutting and molding:
Cutting and molding can be done by laser cutting, waterjet cutting, stamping, etc.
For complex shapes, CNC machining can also be used.
