Manufacturing process
The hot forging and forging process is carried out above the recrystallization temperature of the metal.
Hot rolling is a rolling process carried out above the recrystallization temperature.
Cold rolling process in which the plastic deformation temperature is below the recrystallization temperature.
Annealing: A heat treatment process in which the metal is slowly heated to a certain temperature, held for a sufficient period of time, and then cooled at an appropriate rate (usually slowly, sometimes controlled).
Pickling: Immersion of a product in an aqueous solution (e.g., sulfuric acid) to remove thin films (e.g., oxides) from the surface of the metal. It is a pretreatment or intermediate treatment for processes such as plating, enameling, tumbling, etc.

Titanium is 30% stronger than steel, but nearly 50% lighter. Titanium is 60% heavier than aluminum, but twice as strong. Titanium has excellent strength retention at 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Titanium is alloyed with aluminum, manganese, iron, molybdenum and other metals to increase strength, withstand high temperatures and reduce the weight of the resulting alloy. Titanium's high corrosion resistance is also a valuable characteristic; when exposed to the atmosphere, titanium forms a dense, tough oxide film that resists many corrosive substances, especially salt water.
