- Mechanical properties: Ti5AL-2.5Sn titanium alloy has excellent strength and toughness, its yield strength is between 550-750 MPa, its tensile strength is between 620-830 MPa, and its elongation is 8-20%. The alloy also has a long fatigue life and can operate under low and high cycle loads.
- Corrosion resistance: Ti5AL-2.5Sn titanium alloy has excellent corrosion resistance and can be used for a long time in seawater and chloride solutions, which makes it widely used in marine engineering and aerospace.
- Processing performance: Ti5AL-2.5Sn titanium alloy has good formability and can be processed by conventional cold drawing, cold heading, rolling and forging methods. However, the cutting performance of the alloy is poor, and suitable cutting processes and tools are required.
