ASTM F67 Titanium Rod
This specification covers the chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical requirements for four grades of unalloyed titanium strip, plate, sheet, bar, billet, forgings, and wire used in the manufacture of surgical implants. The four grades identified herein are defined as follows: Grade 1 - UNS R50250; Grade 2 - UNS R50400; Grade 3 - UNS R50550; and Grade 4 - UNS R50700.
Description
This specification covers the chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical requirements for four grades of unalloyed titanium strip, plate, sheet, bar, billet, forgings, and wire used in the manufacture of surgical implants. The four grades identified herein are defined as follows: Grade 1 - UNS R50250; Grade 2 - UNS R50400; Grade 3 - UNS R50550; and Grade 4 - UNS R50700. Ground products may be de-oxidized or pickled, The ground product may be treated by descaling or pickling, sandblasting, chemical grinding, lapping, machining, peeling, or polishing, or as specified by the Buyer. Material shall be supplied in the hot worked, cold worked, forged, annealed or stress relieved condition. Mechanical properties to be met by the titanium material are ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and sectional shrinkage.
