Description
Titanium round bar α-alloys contain a certain amount of stable α-phase elements, the equilibrium state is mainly composed of α-phase. α-alloys have a small specific gravity, good heat strength, good weldability and excellent corrosion resistance, the disadvantage is the room temperature strength is low, usually used as heat-resistant materials and corrosion-resistant materials. α-alloys can be divided into full-α-alloys (TA7), near-α-alloys (Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V) and a small number of compounds of α-alloys (Ti-2.5Cu). alloys (Ti-2.5Cu) with a small amount of compounds.

99.5% industrial pure titanium bar properties are: density ρ = 4.5g/cm3, melting point of 1800 ℃, thermal conductivity λ = 15.24W / (m.K), tensile strength σb = 539MPa, elongation δ = 25%, section shrinkage ψ = 25%, modulus of elasticity E = 1.078 × 105MPa, hardness HB195.
(1)Higher than the strength of titanium alloy density is generally around 4.5g/cm3, only 60% of steel, the strength of pure titanium bar is close to the strength of ordinary steel, some high-strength titanium alloys more than many alloy structural steel strength.
(2) Therefore, the specific strength of titanium alloy (strength / density) is much greater than other metal structural materials, can produce unit of high strength, good rigidity, lightweight parts and components.
