Description
GR2 titanium rods (commercially pure titanium, TA2):
Compositional characteristics: GR2 titanium bar is close to pure titanium, with a main component of more than 99% titanium and a small amount of remaining impurities to give it more optimized properties. It contains almost no other alloying elements or only trace amounts (e.g. carbon, oxygen, nitrogen).
Performance characteristics: It has good corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and in most acid and alkali solutions. It has low density, high strength, good toughness and good biocompatibility.
GR5 Titanium Rod (Ti-6Al-4V):
Compositional Characteristics: GR5 is an alpha+beta type titanium alloy with a primary composition of approximately 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, as well as other trace elements. This alloy composition gives it higher strength and heat resistance than pure titanium.
Performance characteristics: high strength, especially tensile and yield strength, good corrosion resistance, although slightly lower than pure titanium but still meet the needs of most industrial applications. It also has good weldability and processability.
