AMS 4959 Titanium Wire refers to 13-11-3 Titanium in Wire. 13-11-3 Titanium is also known as Titamiun Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al, which is a heat-treatable titanium alloy with good formability, certain crack resistance during forging, and acceptable weldability. It is used as structural forgings, plate truss structures, skins, frames, brackets, aircraft accessories, and fasteners.

Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al metastable titanium alloy has a room temperature tensile strength of 1350MPa and is mainly used to manufacture sheet parts and springs. Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al is a beta alloy that can be heat treated. It has good ductility and is utilized in applications demanding high strength. Ti-13V-11Cr-3Al exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and good fabricability. This alloy is frequently employed in aerospace applications and for high-strength airframe components.
