Description
ERTi-5 (Ti-6Al-4V).
ERTi-5 is an alpha + beta type titanium alloy with a main composition of about 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is the most commonly used of all titanium alloys and has high strength, good heat resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. It is widely used in aerospace, marine engineering, petrochemicals, sporting goods (e.g. golf clubs and bicycle frames) and medical implants.

ERTi-7 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI).
ERTi-7 is essentially a variant of ERTi-5, ELI stands for "Extra Low Interstitials", which contains lower levels of interstitial elements such as oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen. The alloy maintains its high strength and corrosion resistance while improving ductility and toughness, making it more suitable for use at low temperatures or in applications where toughness is critical, such as surgical implants. ERTi-7 wire is less crack-sensitive than ERTi-5 when welded, making it more suitable for applications that require non-destructive testing and very high fatigue strength.
ERTi-9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V).
ERTi-9 is an alpha-type titanium alloy containing 3% aluminum and 2.5% vanadium, with good creep resistance, high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater. It is characterized by good mechanical properties at medium temperatures and is therefore commonly used in shipbuilding, offshore oil platforms, heat exchangers and chemical processing equipment.
