ErTi-2 (commonly known as Grade 2) titanium TIG electrodes are used to weld commercially pure titanium. This is often used where good corrosion resistance is required and a good strength-to-weight ratio is advantageous.

Ti-2 is a solid wire for use in the TIG welding process that provides a bright surface, smooth flow under optimum welding conditions, and a stable, spatter-free arc. It provides radiographic quality weld deposits when welding grade 2 pure titanium.
