Description
As a high-performance insulating material, CNC machining of bakelite requires systematic optimization in three aspects: equipment selection, parameter optimization, and process improvement. Rigidity and precision are key factors in equipment selection. High-rigidity machine tools such as the JTGK800G Pro high-speed machine (30 m/min on three axes) are suitable for machining high-hardness steel. The JTDR550 five-axis machining center uses a DDR direct-drive rotary table to achieve single-stage clamping of polyhedrons, minimizing positioning errors to 0.015 mm. The JTGK700S graphite-specific machine is equipped with a fully enclosed protective system to effectively control dust pollution.

Is water required during CNC machining of bakelite? Generally, water is not required during CNC machining of bakelite. Bakelite, a thermosetting plastic, possesses excellent mechanical strength and insulating properties and is widely used in electrical and electronic applications. During machining, Bakelite causes relatively little wear on cutting tools and does not generate significant heat, eliminating the need for water cooling. Furthermore, adding water may cause the material to absorb moisture and deform, impacting machining accuracy and product quality. Therefore, adding water is generally not recommended during CNC machining of Bakelite.
