ABS plastic excels in CNC turning, primarily due to its excellent cutting performance, dimensional stability, and toughness. ABS's softness reduces tool wear, enabling high-speed machining while maintaining a high surface finish. Its low moisture absorption and moderate thermal expansion coefficient reduce the risk of machining distortion, making it suitable for precision turning. ABS also offers strong impact resistance and resists chipping during turning. Complex structures (such as threads and curved surfaces) can be efficiently formed, and post-processing allows for easy polishing, painting, or bonding, enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of the finished product.
