Titanium Grade 23 (UNS R56401) is an alpha-beta alloy based on Grade 5. It is a higher-purity version of Grade 5 with reduced interstitial elements (O, N, C) and improved stress corrosion cracking resistance. Its high strength, lightweight, corrosion resistance, and toughness make it particularly suitable for thick-walled, highly stressed components, such as those found in dental and medical applications.
