Description
Titanium materials have low thermal conductivity and poor heat dissipation. If not used in high-temperature service, it is machined with sharp tools and cooled ASME b338 gr 2 Seamless Tubing with a coolant. Seamless tubes are drawn from a single material billet, resulting in uniform wall thickness and less absolute roughness. On the other hand, grade 2 titanium welded tubes are made from strip or plate by welding the ends together. There are different methods of welded production. These tubes are also used in heat exchangers and boilers as titanium grade 2 tubes for heat exchangers and boilers.

Grade 2 titanium tubing consists of 99% titanium and is known as commercially pure titanium. The material also has a high tensile strength of a minimum of 345 MPa. Cp Grade 2 titanium tubing is forged, but forging is difficult. It is resistant to nitric and hydrofluoric acid corrosion. The hot forging of the material creates an extremely hard layer of titanium oxide on the surface, making it more resistant to corrosion. There are different grades and specifications, such as ASTM b338 gr2 tubing, which are highly machinable.
