Gr7 Titanium Straight Tube (Ti-0.2Pd)
Grade 7 titanium (UNS R52400) is a palladium-stabilised titanium alloy consisting of commercially pure titanium with a small palladium addition of 0.12–0.25%. The palladium shifts the corrosion potential of the alloy into the passive range, markedly improving resistance to crevice corrosion and mildly reducing acidic media - the key reason Gr7 is specified in chemical processing and seawater systems.

3. Manufacture and Standards
Gr7 straight tube is produced by roll-forming titanium strip into a tubular shape, welding the seam (typically argon-arc or high-frequency welding), then cold working, annealing and straightening. Welded tube is supplied to ASTM B862, seamless equivalents to ASTM B861, with GB/T 26057 and GB/T 3625 as applicable Chinese references.

6. Quality and Sourcing Notes
When ordering, specify grade (Gr7/Ti-0.2Pd), OD, wall thickness, length, quantity, surface finish and destination port. Request the mill certificate with chemistry (including Pd), tensile results and non-destructive test records (eddy-current or hydrostatic testing) per batch.
