Grade 12 titanium sheet, usually referred to as CP Ti-3Al-2.5V titanium alloy sheet, is an alpha+beta type titanium alloy with higher strength and heat resistance than pure titanium, while retaining the lightweight properties and good corrosion resistance of titanium materials.
Description
Due to the addition of aluminium and vanadium, the tensile and yield strengths of Grade 12 titanium sheet are significantly higher than those of pure titanium (e.g. Grade 2), while retaining good toughness, making it suitable for use in structural components requiring high mechanical properties. In most corrosive media, Grade 12 titanium plate shows excellent corrosion resistance, especially to seawater, salt spray and a variety of acid and alkali media with good resistance, suitable for marine engineering and chemical equipment.
